Strip notes:716
Strip 716 is an unusual element in the story because of its high Japanese content. This fact caused an outcry from some of the fans, feeling that Fred should not have posted a strip mostly in Japanese to an audience composed mostly of people who do not speak the language. However, as Fred explains in a rant, it is not necessary to understand Kimiko's words to understand what the strip was all about. In Fred's own words, "People may speak different languages around the world, but there are other ways of communicating. Kimiko is trying to get through to Largo in the only way she can, and she is doing it not by what she is saying, but by how she is saying it."
