Undead

The term undead, believed to have been coined by Bram Stoker in his novel, Dracula, commonly refers to such creatures as zombies, vampires, ghosts, and similar entities which exist in a sort of halfway state between life and death. Lacking a "lifeforce" of their own, they are animated either by sorcery (in the case of zombies) or by stealing the life energy of living beings (for example, vampires sustaining themselves by drinking the blood of humans). Largo has often mistaken living people for zombies, sometimes with unpleasant results such as being arrested by the Tokyo Police, and feels that Miho is an undead"creature of darkness" of some kind, most likely a vampire or zombie queen.
